Maria’s Pan Fry Cheese Gnocchi with Brown Butter and Sage

Category
Gnocchi, Recipes

2-3 servings

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 10-12 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 400g Casa Della Pasta Maria’s Pan Fry Cheese Gnocchi
  • 75g unsalted butter
  • 10-12 fresh sage leaves
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Freshly grated Parmesan cheese, for serving on the side

Method:

  1. Place the Casa Della Pasta Maria’s Pan Fry Cheese Gnocchi in a large, non-stick frying pan. There’s no need to boil this type of gnocchi first.
  2. Add the butter to the skillet. Place the pan over medium heat.
  3. As the butter melts, it will begin to foam and then turn a nutty brown color with a fragrant aroma. This process will take about 3-5 minutes. Watch it carefully to ensure it doesn’t burn.
  4. Once the butter is brown, add the fresh sage leaves to the pan. They will sizzle and become crispy.
  5. Stir in the Casa Della Pasta Maria’s Pan Fry Cheese Gnocchi gently to coat it in the brown butter and sage. Continue to cook for another 5-7 minutes, turning the gnocchi occasionally, until it is golden brown and slightly crispy on all sides and heated through.
  6. Season the gnocchi with freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the pan-fried cheese gnocchi immediately in bowls, with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and EV olive oil on the side for sprinkling as desired
